Canoeing & Camping Weekend - River Vyrnwy & Severn

£120 PER PERSON, FULL BOARD, MINIMUM 4 PEOPLE. 2 nights camping based at The Old Swan, Montford Bridge, near Shrewsbury. Transport back-up throughout. Group bookings can be arranged throughout the year.

Friday - On arrival we will set up camp at the campsite adjoining the The Old Swan, Montford Bridge in the heart of the beautiful Shropshire countryside. A relaxing evening will set you up for the next day.

Saturday - We will introduce you to basic canoeing techniques enabling you to gain control of your boat. Then we will guide you on a 15 mile journey down the River Severn as it meanders into historic Shrewsbury for an evening meal. At the end of the evening we will transfer you back to the campsite at Montford Bridge.

Sunday - After packing up the camp we transfer to the River Vyrnwy in mid Wales. Here we put into practice the skills you have developed the previous day on an exciting 8 mile journey along this faster flowing stretch of water.

These trips will provide you with a different perspective on the countryside which you will experience from the river. You will be travelling mainly on BCU grade 1 water with some short stretches of grade 2.
