Member of the BMC, the Mountain Leader Training Association, the British Association of International Mountain Leaders, the British Caving Association, the British Canoe Union, and the RAF Mountaineering Association.
During over 18 years in the RAF, Rob participated in, and led, many hill-walking/mountaineering expeditions across the UK and the Alps. Furthermore, he received extensive training in the delivery and design of instruction in a variety of forms. He enjoys climbing, both domestically and alpine, and is also a keen skier and Scuba diver. Rob has led 32-day Development/Trekking expeditions to Ecuador including Imbabura, 4580m (2006); Tanzania, including Kilimanjaro, 5895m (2007); Iceland (2008) & the Indian Himalayas, including Stok Kangri, 6123m (2008). In addition to working for Peak Pursuits, Rob is a part-time Peak District National Park Ranger, and a member of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.
