shropshire canoeing & camping weekend

Canoeing and Camping on the River Severn and surrounding rivers with Peak Pursuits.

• Friday Evening - On arrival we will set up camp at the campsite adjoining the The Wingfield Arms, Montford Bridge in the heart of the beautiful Shropshire countryside.
  
  
• Saturday - We will introduce you to basic canoeing techniques enabling you to gain control of your boat. Then we will guide you on a journey down the River Severn as it meanders through the Shropshire countryside. At the end of the days canoeing we will transfer you back to the campsite at Montford Bridge.
  
  
• Sunday - After packing up the camp we transfer to a different stretch of the Severn or one of its tributaries. Here we put into practice the skills you have developed the previous day on a journey along these faster flowing stretches of water.

These trips will provide you with a different perspective on the countryside which you will experience from the river. You will be travelling mainly on BCU grade 1 water with some short stretches of grade 2.

£135 PER PERSON, MINIMUM 4 PEOPLE. 2 nights camping based at The Wingfield Arms, Montford Bridge, near Shrewsbury. Transport back-up throughout and all specialist activity equipment included. Group bookings can be arranged March to October. Includes campsite fee. Tent, camp bed and sleeping bag hire - £15 per person. Breakfasts and packed lunches are available at additional cost. The Wingfield Arms provides a good menu should you wish to dine at the pub in the evening.
