Consent Forms
You will need to fill out and return a
consent form for your child to attend a Peak
Pursuits Summer Activity Week. This form
will tell us any medical information and
requirements for your child and give us
emergency contact numbers should we need to
contact yourselves.
Who will be looking after my child?
During your child’s time with us they will
be looked after by Peak Pursuits Team
Leader. Each Team Leader will act as a
friend, mentor and role model to your child,
caring for their well being and ensuring
they have safe fun packed week.
Who are the Peak Pursuits Team Leaders?
Peak Pursuit Team Leaders are enthusiastic
about the outdoors and enjoy working with
young people. They have all had previous
experience in working with all kinds of
young people and are sensitive to young
people’s issues. All Team Leaders are
subject to a CRB check and hold a first aid
certificate. We select out Team Leaders for
their qualifications, experience and
enthusiasm. All our team strive to give
your child an amazing experience they will
never forget.
What health and safety procedures are in
place?
The safety of young
people is paramount at Peak Pursuits. All
activities and locations have being risked
assessed and an ongoing risk assessment is
also in place. Peak Pursuits staff
development program ensures all Team Leaders
are up to date with current health and
safety procedures and their skills are
constantly assessed and developed. Peak
Pursuits holds an AALA licence ensuring that
we meet the high standards required to take
young people into the outdoors for
adventurous activities. We are an approved
provider for the Local Authorities and work
with many schools and youth originations
such as the Scouts and Girl guides. We
pride ourselves on young people experiencing
and learning in the outdoors in a safe and

For your child’s welfare it is important
Peak Pursuits Team Leaders know your child’s

any relevant medical information in the

correct. Your child will need to bring
their medication if required to take during
the day, this includes inhalers even if they
hardly or never need to use it. All
medication must be clearly labelled with
your child’s name, dosage and time or
occasion to be taken and handed in to a Peak
Pursuits Team Leader in the morning.
Who will my child be with?
Your child will be with other likeminded
children during the week. If your child is
worried they won’t know anyone, don’t worry
as a Peak Pursuits Activity Week is a great
place to make new friend. Our Team Leaders
will ensure they are looked after and make
new friends. If your child wants to bring
their friend along; that’s great – the more
there merrier! They will need to go through
the same booking procedure as your child and
ensure there are enough place for that week.
How will my child benefit coming to Peak
Pursuits Activity week?
Your child will face new challenges, meet
new people and enjoy new activities; it will
be an adventure climbing up rock faces,
navigating their way through the woods on a
mountain bike, learning to play African
drums. There will come away with memories
and tales that will astound the bravest
adventurer or Parent!
