We offer introductory days to both these sports throughout the year at the picturesque Rudyard Lake in North Staffordshire. Throughout the day our instructors will teach you the various techniques required to give you full control of your boat and they will also advise you on equipment, access and the best rivers in the UK to canoe on.

Introductory sessions are aimed at giving you a taste of Canoeing and Kayaking. These courses are for those people who have little or no experience of Canoeing and Kayaking, you will be introduced to both types of boats at the beautiful North Staffordshire location. As the main purpose of these courses is to give you a "want to try it again experience" most of the day will focus on having fun and building confidence. The sort of activities that you will try are getting in and out of the boat from the bank and then from in the water, paddling around each other, swapping boats, standing on the gunnels of a Canadian Canoe, gunnel bopping, and of course capsizing.
