What should I wear?

We recommend you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, but also allows free movement. You need to make sure you wear closed toe footwear that fits securely, no sandals. Please ensure you dress for the weather so bring a spare coat or jumper!

What happens in severe weather?

Trentham Treetop Adventures remains open in all weathers, except when in high winds, storms or during lighting. An assessment of the weather will be made and closure is at the manager’s discretion. Depending on the weather, the course may be muddier than usual so don’t forget to dress appropriately!

Are there height/weight restrictions?

Minimum age – 6 years old. Minimum height – 1.4m / 4ft 7.

Maximum weight – 19 stone (120kg).

Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult (18+). The supervising adult must remain on site but does not have to participate in the course.

Do I need previous experience?

No previous experience is required. The Treetop Course does require a degree of fitness but as long as you can climb a ladder you should be fine!

Can I participate if I'm pregnant?

We strongly recommend pregnant women do not take part on the treetop course, however ultimately the choice is left with the participant. We suggest participants seek medical advice from their doctor before making a decision. If you decide to take part in the course, then you will need to declare that you are pregnant on your consent form before participating.

Can I bring a camera?

Phones and cameras are permitted on site, however they must be attached to the participant at all times.

Can spectators watch?

We welcome spectators to watch participants from the forest floor.

When do I need to arrive and is there somewhere to park?

Please arrive at the Treetop Cabin 15 minutes before you start time as there is paperwork that needs to be completed. Free parking is available at the site.

Are there changing facilities/toilets?

We have no toilets on site, however public toilets are within walking distance of the site. Unfortunately, there are no changing facilities.
